We all have some type of data and usually a lot of it, especially within a business. But are you aware that how you manage your data can be the difference between running your operations well vs. walking down a corridor blindfolded? Any company holds crucial data for various reasons, data that needs to be efficiently accessible and protected. We’ve seen scattered and messy desktops where so many files are stored (We can’t even imagine how hard it is to find anything).
Why Microsoft 365 is a Life Saver
If you’re already using 365 to manage your data, you’ll understand how simple and efficient it is to use. It’s quite straightforward, OneDrive is used for storing your own personal work files and SharePoint is for any company shared data across departments. Restrict access to members only relevant to their department. The added benefit is you can collaborate on files in real time. You can access any of this data from Microsoft Teams.
Going a Step Further
It should be noted that any data that is not regularly accessed should be moved onto a separate cloud storage space. There’s no point in having ready access to files that were last viewed in the stone age, therefor, with Archival Storage, there are limits to how often these files are accessed.
Protecting Your Data
If we manage your Microsoft 365 environment, and if you take a minimum of a Basic License from us, all your data in 365 is backed up via a third-party system. Microsoft is not a backup company and doesn’t take accountability for any data loss. The same principle applies to Archival Storage-We manage the entire backup process.
Will You Continue to Suffer?
The answer is determined by your own choice. Are you saving all your files in one place (An external HDD, Desktop, etc.) just waiting for a bomb to go off? Data Management is such a vital element of how your business functions. We take pride in getting your data right. If you need an expert in data, we can help. If you’re already a client and would like to learn more about your data, we’re always here to assist.
Bye bye for now,
Wes
