What Online Shopping Taught Me About Business Technology
When shopping deliveries were launched, I was hesitant as to how it would work. But now after using the service, I DREAD to go to the shops and do my shopping. And strangely enough, I can apply this to business technology.
It saves so much time driving to and from shops, walking down aisles, standing in rows, packing and unpacking, checking bar codes and the dreaded “Please wait for my manager”. This shift in perspective applies directly to how I view technology in business.
Convenience isn’t just a Luxury – It’s a Strategy
Yes, we pay for the “service”, the “convenience” and essentially, we are buying the time we would be spending at the shops that are now available to us to do other things. And that’s exactly what our tech is doing for you.
When I walk into a business that uses “old technology” I cringe, thinking to myself, “How much time are these people wasting without even knowing it and how much of my time will I have to give up?”
