Microsoft Teams Calling case study - activation request.

The Issue

A potential client that we had discussions with previously a few months ago, made contact with us again to request a solution that would allow them to have a virtual office from any location. They were struggling with their current VoIP/Telephony provider in terms of receiving a solution that would cater for remote working enablement.

 

Client Request

Our potential client specifically asked us to set up 5 x users for Microsoft Teams Calling, so that they were able to make and receive all phone calls over the Teams app.

 

Our Solution

Simpl immediately began explaining the solution to our client. For the Teams Calling to function, the client needed to migrate to our cloud hosted PBX system that would control all Teams calls on the backend. Additionally, licensing had to be applied on the Microsoft 365 side, to integrate the calling function and Teams.

 

The Results

Our client was able to achieve their initial goals and more. Simpl ended up taking over the entire Microsoft 365 management of our client. They were also able to retain their existing number, with the option to phase it out and receive a new number if required. The virtual office was now achieved, and with the adverse effects of Covid, a business just like this could continue working productively and from any location, at any time.
